Psychology:
  • Psychology, as a therapy, provides a supportive and affirming space for neurodivergent individuals to explore their strengths, challenges, and personal goals. Using a capacity-building approach, therapy focuses on identifying and nurturing existing abilities, developing new skills, and creating strategies that align with an individual’s unique ways of thinking and experiencing the world. Rather than aiming to “fix” or “normalize,” an affirming psychological approach validates neurodivergent identities, fosters self-acceptance, and works collaboratively to remove barriers that hinder well-being. Through tailored interventions, therapy empowers individuals to navigate their environments, build meaningful relationships, and achieve self-defined success while prioritising autonomy, self-advocacy, and mental wellness.

Occupational Therapy:
  • Occupational therapy (OT) supports neurodivergent individuals by helping them develop the skills, strategies, and environmental adaptations needed to engage meaningfully in daily life. Using a capacity-building and affirming approach, OT focuses on enhancing independence, self-regulation, and participation in activities that matter to the individual—whether at work, school, home, or in the community. Rather than aiming to change differences, occupational therapy recognises and embraces neurodivergent strengths, working collaboratively to reduce barriers and create supportive environments. Through personalised interventions, such as sensory regulation strategies, executive functioning supports, and accessibility modifications, OT empowers individuals to thrive on their own terms while fostering self-advocacy and well-being.

Art Therapy:
  • Art therapy provides a creative and affirming space for neurodivergent individuals to explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop coping strategies in a way that aligns with their unique communication styles and sensory needs. Using a capacity-building approach, art therapy focuses on strengths and self-expression rather than traditional verbal processing, offering an alternative means of emotional regulation and personal growth. It can help individuals develop confidence, reduce stress, and process experiences in a way that feels natural and accessible. Rather than aiming to “change” neurodivergent traits, art therapy validates and embraces different ways of thinking and experiencing the world, using creative mediums to support well-being, autonomy, and self-advocacy.
