School-Based Assessments
Through a multidisciplinary team comprising of a psychologist and an occupational therapist with both lived and clinical experience, we aim to foster an inclusive educational environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional success for neurodivergent students. Early identification and support for autistic and ADHD students within the school context (pre-school through university) are crucial as they allow for an environment where these students can thrive by embracing their unique strengths and needs.
Embrace Diversity offers comprehensive school-based assessments to support students’ learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Our team works collaboratively with schools, families, and students to identify strengths, challenges, and tailored strategies that foster inclusive educational experiences. Assessments may explore areas such as autism, ADHD, intellectual abilities, learning differences, and emotional regulation. We provide clear, accessible reports with practical recommendations for classroom support, learning adjustments, and NDIS or funding applications. Assessments can be conducted onsite at schools or in our clinic, with a strong focus on affirming each student’s unique profile and supporting their wellbeing and success.
If your school has an occupational therapist or speech pathologist already working with the student, our assessments can be conducted collaboratively. This team-based approach not only reduces the overall cost of assessment but also ensures continuity of care and a deeper understanding of the student’s needs. Working alongside familiar professionals can increase the child’s comfort during the process and lead to more meaningful, practical recommendations that align with the existing support team.
